• Vertical motors reduce the load on the motor bearings, thus the motor runs smoother, faster,
more energy efficient, and much quieter. The life expectance of a vertical motor is also greatly
enhanced.
Top Exhaust Venting
• 7” Round exhaust is compatible with most existing duct work. It helps to keep remodeling
cost down.
Attractive Appearance
• The 18-Gauge seamless Stainless Steel design allows these hoods to easily be installed
over any cooking system.
Time Delay Controls
• The time delay system features a 3-minute delay shut off. Pressing the power button once to
shutoff starts the 3-minute timer. Pressing the power button twice will shutoff the hood immediately.
Six Speed Control
• CH-196 series come with a 6 button operation panel. Each fan speed is controlled by a separate
switch. The user can go from QuietModeÔ to high with the touch of one button. Fan speed is
indicated by a separate “cool blue” LED.
Bright Halogen Lights
• CH-196 series hoods come with bright halogen lights controlled separately by a dimmer switch.
Easy to Clean
• KOBE's unique design, which includes easy to empty catch areas and smooth hood surface,
lets you clean the fans without disassembling the hood.
Baffle Filter
• Functional and dishwasher safe. The baffle filters give the CH-196 series hood the professional
look consumers are looking for.

Installation
• CH-196 series hoods may be installed under existing cabinets or as a free standing wall mount.
Installation brackets are provided for both applications. A duct cover (CH1120DC) is suggested for
wall mounted hoods.

• CH-196 series available in 18-Gauge Commercial grade Stainless Steel.
Versatile Installation
• This versatile hood can be use as a hood liner for custom hood frames, for under cabinet or as
a stand alone, when used with the optional duct cover (Model No. CH1120DC).
